Privacy Policy — SecondCheck

SecondCheck is an Android app published by LBLOGIC SOLUTIONS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use SecondCheck.

The short version: SecondCheck does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email, or phone number, and does not keep a record of your bills on our servers. A photo of your bill is sent briefly to an AI service to read the numbers off it, and then it is gone. Nothing is saved unless you personally tap "Download."

1. What We Collect

1.1 Bill photos (temporary, not stored)

When you scan a bill, the photo is sent from your phone to our server, which forwards it to Google's Gemini AI to read the text on the bill (item names, prices, tax rates, totals). The extracted information is sent back to your phone, and the photo and the extracted data are not saved on our server — they exist only in memory for the few seconds it takes to process your request.

1.2 Information we do not collect

• No name, email address, or phone number
• No account, login, or password of any kind
• No location data
• No contacts, photos gallery access beyond the single bill photo you choose to scan, or device identifiers used for tracking

1.3 Scan credits (stored only on your device)

SecondCheck gives you 5 free scans, after which you can buy more (40 scans for ₹25, or 100 scans for ₹50) through Google Play Billing. Your remaining scan count is stored only on your own phone. We do not see or store this on any server. This also means: if you uninstall the app or switch phones, your remaining scan count resets — we don't have a copy to restore it from.

1.4 Payment information

All purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card details, UPI ID, or any other payment information — that is handled directly between you and Google, under Google's own privacy policy.

1.5 Downloaded bills

If you tap "Download" on a result screen, an image of that result is saved to your phone's own Downloads folder using Android's standard storage system. This file lives on your device, under your control — we have no copy of it and no way to access it.

2. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. SecondCheck does not currently show ads.

3. How Long We Keep Data

• Bill photos and extracted bill data: not stored at all on our servers — processed and discarded within seconds.
• Downloaded result images: kept on your device for as long as you choose to keep them; delete them anytime like any other file on your phone.
• Scan credit balance: kept on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data.

4. Your Rights

Because we don't collect any personal data linked to your identity (no account, no name, no email), there is no personal profile of you for us to show, correct, or delete on request — we simply don't have one. If you have downloaded a result image, you control and can delete that file yourself at any time from your phone's Downloads folder.

5. Children's Privacy

SecondCheck is not directed at children and is not designed to knowingly collect data from children. Since the app requires no account or personal details from anyone, no child-specific personal data is collected in the first place.

6. Security

Bill photos travel from your phone to our server and on to Google's Gemini API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Our backend server does not write bill data to any database or disk — it is processed in memory and discarded.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we ever introduce optional accounts or advertising — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
